Dairy-free Yorkshire puddings (that actually rise!)

Soya milk has a nasty habit of making Yorkshire pudding batters too heavy to rise – but this foolproof recipe, which changes the traditional proportions of milk and eggs, works like a dream.

Inhaltsstoffe

• 80g plain flour
• 1 mittleres Ei
• 125 ml ungesüßte Sojamilch
• Salt & pepper to season
• Oil/fat to cook

Methode

1. Preheat the oven to 220ºC/425ºF/Gas Mark 7. This step is really important, don’t be tempted to put the use the oven before it reaches the right temperature.
2. Sobald es auf Temperatur ist, erhitzen Sie das Öl in Ihrer Puddingform für etwa 5 Minuten.
3. Während er aufgewärmt wird, alle Zutaten in eine Schüssel geben und mit dem Schneebesen zu einem ziemlich dicken Teig verrühren.
4. Den Teig in das heiße Öl geben und die Form für 15-20 Minuten in den Ofen stellen, bis die Puddings aufgegangen und oben knusprig sind.

Da selbst ungesüßtes Soja ziemlich süß ist, ist die Würze eine echte Bereicherung für dieses Rezept.
