Designed for littles one’s who have previously worn holes in the cotton above the mitts, by getting their thumbs or fingers up and over the silk to scratch with. Experience shows that the extended silk mitts should help to stop little one’s wearing holes in this way, as they are unable to reach the cotton with their thumbs or fingers and therefore use the silk mittens to scratch with as intended.

Silk mitts extend further up the arm than our other ScratchSleeves.
Cross-over front with two hook and loop fastenings ensures that these ScratchSleeves stay firmly in place on the most determined wrigglers.
100% natural silk mitts protect delicate skin from even the most vigorous scratching while the loose fitting and 100% stretch cotton sleeves ensure babies and children stay cool and comfortable. Dye-free & zinc-free for super sensitive skin.
ScratchSleeves can be used day or night and can be worn over or under regular clothing. For older children and more independent toddlers we recommend wearing ScratchSleeves under a t-shirt, pyjama or strapped top (such as dungarees or pinafores) to ensure that they are difficult for the child to remove without help.
Effective scratch mitts designed for babies, toddlers and children with eczema but equally effective in combating scratching at other skin irritations, including chicken pox and post surgical healing, hair-pulling, thumb-sucking, protecting feeding-tubes, and much more.
Machine washable at 40 degrees using non-biological detergent. Can be tumble-dried. Ensure fastenings are closed before washing.

The extra extended layer on the mitts will add an extra layer of warmth, so it is advised to keep an eye on your little one’s temperature. We would only recommend purchasing this style if your little one is managing to wear holes in their existing ScratchSleeves, by getting their thumbs up and over the silk to scratch with.

Please note that these ScratchSleeves have sewn in mitts that cannot be opened. If you require opening mitts then please see our flip-mitt bodysuits.

Delivery

We make every effort to dispatch orders received before 3.00pm UK time Monday to Friday on the same day. On Saturdays we aim to dispatch all orders received before 10.30am UK time on the same day. Very occasionally this is not possible, in which case your order will be dispatched on the next working day. No orders are dispatched on Sunday.

UK Orders – Free shipping
We offer free shipping on all UK orders and use the Royal Mail Tracked 24 service. All being well, orders usually arrive the next working day, however, occasionally there can be unforeseen delays, usually during busy periods. The following postcodes are exempt from this, so please allow a couple of working days for delivery:

AB36–38, AB54–56, FK18–21, KA27–28, KW1–17, PA20–38, PA41–80, PH19–44, PH49–50, TR21–25, BT, GY, HS, IV, IM, JE, ZE.

Overseas orders
Where available we use the tracked AirMail service for overseas orders. If tracking is not available in your area we will used the signed for service. These orders will be delivered by your local postal service.

Our shipping rates are set at a flat-rate per order, regardless of how many units you purchase.

Shipping charges and estimated delivery times are outlined below:

These delivery times are an estimate and will depend on the efficiency of the local postal service in your delivery location. On occasion due to unforeseen circumstances, deliveries can take longer than estimated.

Deliveries to UAE and Qatar can only be made to PO box addresses and we require a telephone number to be provided, per the Royal Mail guidelines.

We have designed our packaging so that orders of one or two items will fit through standard letter boxes. Your postman should be able to deliver these orders without disturbing you. Larger orders may require you to be available to take delivery.

Local sales taxes will be collected at the checkout for all orders with EU delivery addresses. Taxes will be calculated when you enter a shipping address on the checkout page or log in to your account. Please note the prices listed include UK VAT, which is charged at 0% for children’s sizes and 20% for adult sizes. Unfortunately we are unable to ship orders of over 150 EUR (including shipping) in the EU.

Non-EU overseas customers are responsible for import duty/tax in their respective countries. We cannot advise you what these costs will be, please consult your local customs office for more information. We will attach the appropriate customs forms to all overseas shipments.

You are responsible for providing the correct shipping address. We do not take responsibility for checking addresses provided to us. We are unable to refund or replace orders shipped to the incorrect/incomplete shipping addresses until they have been returned to us by the postal service or current address holder. However your billing postcode and house number may be checked by our card payment provider to validate your payment. If you notice an error with the details you have provided to us you must provide us with the full correct address before 2pm UK time on the day the order is due to be shipped (See above).

Returns

We believe that you will be delighted with your purchase but understand that there may be occasions where you feel it necessary to return or exchange an item. We aim to keep the process as simple as possible.

We are always happy to refund or exchange unwashed and unused items in a resalable condition. Please do not wash items or remove tags until you have checked sizing on your child.

If you need to return your order for a refund or would like to exchange it, we request that you get in touch with us in the first instance. You can either email info@scratchsleeves.co.uk or call us on 01962 890210 (international +44 (0)1962 890210) during our office hours (10am to 3pm UK time, Monday to Friday) to arrange the return. It is much easier and quicker for us to process your return/exchange if we have been advised of it prior.
