Dairy-free Yorkshire puddings (that actually rise!)

Soya milk has a nasty habit of making Yorkshire pudding batters too heavy to rise – but this foolproof recipe, which changes the traditional proportions of milk and eggs, works like a dream.

Ingredients

• 80g plain flour
• 1 średnie jajko
• 125 ml niesłodzonego mleka sojowego
• Salt & pepper to season
• Oil/fat to cook

Metoda

1. Preheat the oven to 220ºC/425ºF/Gas Mark 7. This step is really important, don’t be tempted to put the use the oven before it reaches the right temperature.
2. Gdy olej osiągnie temperaturę, podgrzewaj go w naczyniu do puddingu przez około 5 minut.
3. Podczas podgrzewania, umieść wszystkie składniki w misce i ubij razem, aby uzyskać dość gęste ciasto.
4. Wlej ciasto do rozgrzanego oleju i włóż naczynie z powrotem do piekarnika na 15-20 minut, aż puddingi urosną i będą chrupiące na wierzchu.

Ponieważ nawet niesłodzona soja jest dość słodka, przyprawy naprawdę wzbogacają ten przepis.
